Our brewery
Brewed in Nymburk Since 1895
The brewery was founded by royal decree in 1895, and the first batch left the new brewhouse on 19 March 1898. Little about the method has changed: open fermentation, long lagering in the cellars, and nothing in the tank that doesn't belong there.
The town is also Bohumil Hrabal's — his novel Postřižiny (Cutting It Short) is set in this brewery, and gave the beer its name.

Czech beer is measured in degrees Plato — the sugar in the wort before fermentation. Higher degrees mean a fuller beer, not just a stronger one.
All-natural ingredients
